IE 11 Browser Compatibility View Configuration
[10/22/2014]

eMarine is currently designed to function with Internet Explorer (IE) 9 and earlier versions. IE 10 and higher versions use a different technology, which does not work well with eMarine. The workaround for newer IE browser versions is to switch the browser into Compatibility View, which will allow your browser to function with older IE browser versions and to edit your page in Page Builder. Please note that you will be forced to switch out of Compatibility View to use anything else on eMarine.

To use Compatibility View:

1. In Internet Explorer, click on the Tools menu. Unless you have the menu bar enabled, this will be a gear icon.
2. Click Compatibility View Settings.
3. Under Add this website, enter www.emarine.org
4. Click Add
5. Upon reloading the webpage, content should display properly.
6. Note: By default, IE 11 is set to clear your browser history when you quit/close the browser, which also clears the list of websites added to Compatibility View.

To disable this setting:

1.Open the Tools menu as described in step 1 above, then select Internet Options.

2.Under the General tab, uncheck the Delete browser history on exit, then click Apply. If you do not disable this setting, you will need to recreate this list every time you launch IE.
How can I simulate Internet Explorer while using Google Chrome?
[10/16/2014]

There is a internet add-on you can download in Google Chrome that allows you to simulate using Internet Explorer. The benefit of this is that when you are using your home computer and your preferred browser is Google Chrome, the IE simulator allows you to access eMarine and edit your unit's eMarine page without experiencing the normal issues tied to using Google Chrome.

You can view instructions for using the IE Tab add-on HERE.
How can I change the language?
[1/4/2012]
